About Us

Hi, I’m Ella Pierce, the owner and founder of Backpacker’s Brew!


My love for coffee started long before Backpacker’s Brew became a reality. After spending several years working in the coffee industry, I knew I wanted to create something of my own — a place that combined my love for coffee, the outdoors, and the community around me.


Backpacker’s Brew began as an idea on paper during college and has grown into a family-owned and operated coffee shop right here in Council Bluffs. What started as a business plan has become a passion project that my family and I get to build together every day.


We’re passionate about serving quality coffee, creating fun and unique drinks, supporting other local businesses, and making every customer feel like part of the Backpacker’s Brew family. Whether you’re grabbing coffee on your way to work or fueling up for your next adventure, we’re grateful to have you along for the journey.
